Content Management Systems (CMS)

This week were tasked to dig a little deeper into Content Management Systems. CMS are a great way to take the load off of having ot come up with every little thing for your web site and if youre not great with coding these are a great way to get started with building a website.

I chose Wix.com as my platform. Why? Becasue I am familiar wit hthis CMS. Is very easy to navagate and the have some great tools that you can utilize.

I have used this CMs bedfore when buildig my own webste. So I have a bita of experience wit hthis platform. It's not hard to use at all. I found that things were laid out for me in a way that was easy to understand. There are so many things I haven't even explored yet. By sayingthat In no way do I mean that it's too much or overwhelming in any way. You get so engulfed with ont thing that you contintue to use or do things this one way when there are so many other way to do something. I am still fins ing new things.

The theme I chose I believe goes well wth the Reel Deal Tacos vibe. Their colors are blue and white. Also some touches of tan were used in their original documents. I will play off those colors and I won't stray too far away from the color scheme. I will keep the colors all in their current families.

The blog is the one feture that will most definitely use to get the name of the business out there and keep the customers updated and engaged. I will design and encourage Reel DEal to use the blog to give the customers a behind the scnenes look into to business.

As for other Content Mamanagement Systems, I ve only used Wix. However, I have looked at squaresoace snd wordpress. Wordpress seemed a bit to difficult to use. Squarespace seememd pretty similar to Wix, but I chose Wix because I already am used ot the functionality. I enouraged other to utilize Wix because of it ease of use.
