Born and raised in Petersburg, VA. He graduated from the Appomattox Regional Governor's School for the Arts and Technology with a focus in Theatre and continued his education at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA where he majored in Theatre Performance and minored in Sociology.

His aspirations in becoming an actor-led him to leave VCU and pursue acting on his own. This hard road eventually led him to Hampton, VA where he enrolled at Thomas Nelson Community College to finish school. He obtained his Associate's Degree in Social Science. 

His passion for pursuing this life of acting stems from seeing one of his inspirations, Denzel Washington in the film Glory. That movie among other Denzel films encouraged him to continue to pursue his dream. Since graduating Rico has immersed himself in the Hampton Roads Arts Community performing in several shows and apart on artistic teams since 2009.

He also currently writes for Spotlight Hampton Roads as a part of their theatre coverage team. I write reviews, previews, and think pieces. He also ran lead on the ALTDaily Theatre Awards, whose online award ceremony, produced & edited by him can be found on YouTube.

Due to his skills as a performer, he's done his share of public speaking. He is looking to utilize his knowledge in Social Media, Marketing & Media Communications. He's a Full Sail University Alum. Bachelor's: Media Communications. Masters: Public Relations/Image Management.
