Before I started the MCBS program at Full Sail I had been working in the nonprofit field. Currently a Children's Case Manager for ForKids Inc., where we service homeless families with children, I assist parents in providing the best for their child in the realms of education & development.

But then I asked myself, "What is your passion and Why aren't you going forward with working in the field of your passion?"
Because of that self talk, I started to research jobs in the entertainment field and what I needed to "get in" at these companies. I started seeing jobs for a social media assistant, social media manager and social media coordinator.
Because of that research I decided to combine my passion for acting and my love for social media and pursue a Bachelors of Science degree in Media Communications & a Public Relations Masters degree.
Because of that eureka moment I decided to go back to school. I talked to one of my high school friends who I knew went to school in Florida but I couldn't remember what school it was. I told her I wanted to go back to school for media communications and she told me about Full Sail University. I knew she went to the actual campus, so I said, "They have an online program?"Her response was, "Duh!" So, I began researching Full Sail University.
Until finally – I fell in love with Full Sail. The MCBS program has everything I wanted in a Media Communications program.

And ever since, my path and vision has been clear. Deciding to pursue my passion for social media in media communications was one of the best decision I've made so far in my life.
Lynda.com Video Commentary
This video was very inspiring. My hugest takeaway was the nuggets she gave about researching and knowing the audience and client. Who is the target audience. What do we know about them? What research have you done? OI believe that when you know who your target audience is you have won half the battle. Now you have to hook them line and sinker. How do you do that? According to Stacey Williams-Ng, it all in your story. You have too stimulate the audience's emotions. What makes the audience tick? Stacey says stories tickle and stimulate the brain. This statement is true. The audience will connect to a story that is interesting to them, a story or image they connect with personally or a story or image that touches their heart. I see this all time as a actor. If an audience member is touched by something I say or do, they will let you know. Narratives will aid you in getting your point across more effectively.
I will continue to use the strategies that I have already learned and I will add these tools from Stacey. Making sure that my story, my images or anything I put out there is connecting. In turn becoming making what I put out there more compelling. I must know my audience and what makes them tick. This will help me become a more effective speaker, actor, media specialist, and overall communicator.
